The Alchemist- Religion

In The Alchemist, I really enjoyed the religous aspects of the book. I have always been a firm believer in God and enjoy readings that make reference to God. Many things, such as the King of Salem, the rocks Urim and Thummim, shepherds, the desert setting, communicating with the earth, ect, are also things in the christian bible. God can also be a universal language, which is talked about alot in the book. When you think about it all religions believe in some sort of higher being or "God." Also, throughout the book Santiago is in search of his Personal Legend. In many christians' eyes, God has set a path for us to follow which can be related to this Personal Legend. When we follow our hearts aren't we in turn following God because God is the one who created us and speaks to our hearts? This is why I would like my paper about all of the religion in the Alchemst. However, I don't know how to research this.

The Alchemist

I am sticking to my original thought that the boy with end up being a shepherd forever. He was a love and attachment to sheep, and they will always be apart of his life. I also believe that this new girl, Fatima, is an important character. I think that they will probably end up together after he goes off like she says he will.
